Burlington's city street sealcoating program is set to begin Monday and continue for the next one to two weeks.
The city's contractor will begin with Dill Street: Garfield to Summer; Perkins Street: Louisa to Dill; Hedge Street: Summer to 16th and 15th to Madison; 14th and 13th streets: Dunham to Hedge; 12th Street: Dunham to Barrett; Dodge Street: Summer to 10th; Windsor Circle; Middle Street: Plane to Starr; Williams Street: Plane to Starr; Gertrude Street: Williams to Spray and Amelia to Aetna; Hagemann Street: Williams to dead end and Spray to dead end; Ironwood Street: Amelia to dead end; and Spray Street: half block west of Hagemann to Plane.
Additional streets are included in the project and will be reported later.
The work will result in temporary street closures and/or lane restrictions. The closures and restrictions are required to place additional crushed rock, rework the existing surface, and place new sealcoat surfacing.
Once work begins on a street, there will be no parking allowed on that street within the construction zone until the street surface is restored.
Motorists should be cautious of trucks, equipment and workers in and around the work area.
