LeRoy B. Willdrick, 70, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, at his home.

Born June 3, 1939, in LaHarpe, Ill., he was the son of Samuel and Grace Bartlow Willdrick. On Dec. 27, 1963, he married Marilyn Guy in Lomax, Ill.

Mr. Willdrick worked at J.I. Case Co. in Burlington for 34 years, retiring in 1996. He graduated from Dallas City High School in 1957 and served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1962.

Earlier in life he had his private pilot's license and enjoyed flying.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Chance Willdrick of Fort Madison; one daughter, Cheray LaRoue of Fremont, Mich.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Carol McVey of Lomax; and one brother, Larry Willdrick of Mount Olive, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. No formal family visitation is planned.

The funeral for Mr. Willdrick will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Knipe officiating. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery near Dallas City.

Memorials have been established for his grandchildren's education and Blessing Hospice of Hancock County.
