Kathleen Annegers

Kathleen "Kay" Beatrice Annegers, 91, of Burlington died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Prairie Ridge Care & Rehab in Mediapolis.

Born April 23, 1918, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., she was the daughter of William Martin and Cora Bell Lanning Hedgepeth Sr. On March 20, 1965, she married Herbert A. Annegers in Davenport. He died June 2, 1982.

Mrs. Annegers worked at Iowa Soap Factory and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and was an inspector at C & E's for 25 years. She was a charter member of the Eagles Lodge and a longtime member of West Hill Methodist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, William M. Hedgepeth Jr. of Burlington and Paul L. Hedgepeth of Fort Madison; two sisters, Margaret Mehmken of Sperry and Esther Hedgepeth Wright of Dallas; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

The funeral for Mrs. Annegers will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Morris Herd officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.

Memorials have been established for West Hill Methodist Church and Des Moines County Animal Shelter.
