Janet C. Mairet, 66, of Keosauqua, formerly of Grandview, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born July 4, 1943, in Muscatine, she was the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Hathaway Snyder. On June 2, 1963, she married Ronald Mairet in Muscatine.
Mrs. Mairet worked 24 years as a dietitian at Muscatine General Hospital. She was a graduate of Grandview High School.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jeff of Oskaloosa, Ron of Columbus Junction and Shawn of Amana; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Sharon Hunt and Mary Bragg, both of Muscatine, Gayle Snyder of Mount Pleasant and Kathy Snyder of Macon, Mo.; and five brothers, Larry of Blue Grass, Gary and John, both of Fruitland, Bob of Des Moines and Walt of Macon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello where the family will receive friends.
The funeral for Mrs. Mairet will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Fulton-Cairo Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
