Deanna Heckenberg of Chicago and Nathaniel Curl of Davenport will be married Sept. 18 at Parkside First Baptist Church in Burlington.

Parents of the couple are Don and Amy Heckenberg of Burlington and Robert and Alice Curl of Des Moines.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Burlington High School, a 2002 graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree and a 2006 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law with a juris doctor degree. She is an attorney with the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian in Chicago.

The bridegroom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hoover High School in Des Moines, a 2002 graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., with a bachelor of science degree and a 2007 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He is a physician with Trinity Regional Health System in Rock Island, Ill.

The couple will make their home in Davenport.
