Thanks to everybody who came and watched "Almost Maine" at Players Workshop. It meant a lot to everybody in the play. Everybody in the cast deeply appreciated it.

I remember when Zach Smith was talking about directing a play at Players Workshop when I was in high school with him. It was something he always wanted to do. He kept on trying and trying. With help from many supporting community members he was able to do this.

So to everybody involved volunteering their time from parents supporting us and to board members of Players Workshop, thank you.

What you helped shape is more than what you can really see on the outside. Whether you're are a garbage man or a city council member, remember we all can help support our youth by letting them grow with their talents and doing what they love. I hope you will step out this week and do something you normally would not do to help make Iowa and our country a place where dreams really do come true.
